In this workshop we will consider the life of George Washington Carver, the famous “Scientist of Tuskagee.” Born a slave in 1864, Carver faced every obstacle in his life, but when he was 10 years old, he became a follower of Christ and that changed everything in his perspective and understanding of life.
By his faith in God, Carver overcame bankruptcy, prejudice, many difficulties and eventually became a great scientists. Henry Ford believed Carver was the greatest living scientist, perhaps even greater than Thomas Edison.
We will see how his experiences, learning from nature, his keen powers of observation, and a life of prayer helped him through hard work and diligence and resulted in a very fruitful impact with his life.
John Kinzer, and his wife, Marcie, homeschooled all four of their children through high school. He currently teaches classes in history, literature, and science in high school and mid high. He also teaches history, America’s Christian History, and Christian Worldview seminars to interested adults.
