The CAPE-NM 2027 Graduation Recognition Ceremony

At Legacy Church, 7201 Central Ave NW, ABQ, NM 87121
REGISTRATION will open on January 18, 2027
In the meantime, if you have or are a Homeschool Graduate for 2027 and would like to participate in the recognition ceremony, here are some things you can work on to get a head start on the Packet that you will receive at registration.
Visual Presentation
Please upload or email four (4) photos, preferably from youngest to oldest, designating one as a “Senior Picture.” (File size requirements: Digital photos – these will be blown up to put on the overhead screen; low quality pictures like those that are scanned may be too grainy. Most modern digital pictures will work. However, only files that are .jpg or .png can be added to the slideshow.) As a statement of being “in the world, but not of the world,” please submit only modest photos. The slideshow will be projected onto a large screen while the biography is being read, so they need to be good digital quality. If you plan a studio sitting, please do so well in advance, allowing plenty of time to get the photos submitted by March 31, 2027.

Student Testimony
Each student will submit a 250-word essay giving his/her testimony – or he/she can submit a 250-word essay telling what Jesus means to him/her. When filling out the application, you will be asked if excerpts can be used for promotional purposes for the ceremony. If you answer “no,” we will NOT use them.

Student Biography
The biography will be read during the graduation ceremony. Parents, please type a paragraph about your graduate and include items such as awards, honors, activities, future plans, prayer, Scripture, or praise. Due to the number of graduates and time considerations, biographies should be a maximum of 69 words. Please edit and proof. CAPE-NM reserves the right to edit all biographies and cut out any excess of 69 words for length. If you need an example, please contact the Graduation Coordinator.

Policy Agreement
Students AND Parents must print, sign, scan, and return the signed copy of the Policy Agreement located on the last page of this packet. It may be submitted via an upload to the CAPE-NM website, mailed to the address at the top of this letter, emailed to the graduation committee, or you can text a picture to the coordinator (information will be on the first page of the Packet).
