Lee and Laura Gallastini
Lee was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. He gave his life to Christ when he was in high school.
After graduating high school, Lee attended the School of Ministry at Calvary Albuquerque and then spent
a brief time of ministry in Calvert County, MD before returning to NM and attending UNM.
A few years after returning to NM, Lee and his beautiful wife and ministry partner, Laura,
were married in 2002. In 2004, Lee and Laura moved to Mechanicsburg, PA to help with a church plant.
Their older boys, Giovanni and Riley were born in Pennsylvania. In 2010, the Galassini family returned to Albuquerque,
and their third son, Alistair was born in 2012. Lee has a bachelor’s in history and a master’s in education.
He taught fourth and fifth grades in the public schools in Pennsylvania and New Mexico for nearly two decades before
being called to fulltime ministry as the associate pastor of Redemption Hill Church in Albuquerque. Although Lee was
a public-school teacher, Lee and Laura chose to homeschool their three boys to be better able to “bring them up in the
training and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4).”
Giovanni graduated high school as a homeschool student this past year and now attends UNM as an engineering
student. Riley, a senior, and Alistair, an 8th grader, are still homeschooled.
Lee and Laura are blessed by the homeschool community in New Mexico and the many resources for homeschool
families such as CAPE.
They are very excited for the opportunity to spend time with like-minded homeschool families during the Fall Family Retreat.
