How do we know we’re on the right course with homeschooling? What does it mean to “homeschool well”? Join Cindy as she uses the guideposts of Mission, Maturity, and Mercy for you and your students.
We all have those moments when we wonder what we’re doing, why we’re doing it, and how we can possibly know whether we’re doing it right. Homeschooling is not something that most of us were trained or educated for – and some of us were surprised to find ourselves doing it all! – so how do we know when we’re on the right course? What does it mean to “homeschool well”? Let’s use the concepts of Mission, Maturity, and Mercy as our guideposts, for our students and for ourselves!
Cindy Duell has been homeschooling since 2000, when she figured she would teach her oldest to read at home and wait until first grade to find the right school for him. Guess what – home was the right school! Since then she has been homeschooling and raising six amazing children, supporting her husband’s business and his ministry as a church elder, and helping to lead their local homeschool support group. Five of their six children have graduated from their homeschool, and Cindy has graduated to become “Marmee” to eleven grand kiddos.
