How to Build a Strong Moral Foundation in Your Children
$6.00
If you have ever wondered what is the best way to teach moral truths in such a way that your child makes them his own, then this workshop is for you. Joanna discussed Moral Maturity and how to talk with our children about hard topics.
As homeschool parents, we are often concerned with our child’s educational foundation. We wonder such things as, “Am I teaching everything they will need to succeed in this world?”
However, there is more to education than just teaching academics, a LOT more.
Have you ever wondered what is the best way to teach moral truths in such a way that your child makes them his own? The Lord has called us to raise up children and to train them in the way they should go. This includes teaching and instructing in topics such as purity, faithfulness, finances, technology, pornography, apologetics, and so much more!
This workshop is designed with three things in mind. First, we will brainstorm a list of things that we feel are important to teach our children. Second, Joanna will talk about Moral Maturity and what age is best to start teaching these topics. Finally, and this is where Joanna will spend most of her time, we will discuss the HOW. We all know we should teach these things but struggle with when and how to teach them. This is especially intimidating with the hard topics such as pornography or sexual purity. In this section, Joanna will be covering some VERY effective and engaging ways to cover even the trickiest of subjects in a way that your child will learn and take the messages to heart.
Come and learn how you can be the most instrumental part of developing your child’s Moral Foundation in a way that will help them bring glory to the Lord!
Joanna Miszkiel was homeschooled through high school in a family of 12 children in Los Lunas, NM. After working as a full-time nurse, she and her husband now own a small farm where they raise animals, have a large garden, and homestead. She homeschools her two oldest children and plans to homeschool all of her four children through high school.
