Requirements
• Couples Pass is for mom and dad only
• Must have pre-schoolers
• No children over 5 as of September 1, 2012 (our intention is to interest families in home education early)
• Must have nominations from two member families
• All nominations must be received by email before 2:00 PM on April 1, 2012
• Sorry, no refunds for pre-registered attendees
Nominations

Three emails for each nomination with POPs in subject line:
• Two from families who are paid, supporting CAPE members
• One from nominated family expressing an interest in attending including names (as they should appear on name badge), ages of children, mailing address, phone number, and email address.
• All three emails must be received by deadline.
Incomplete nominations will be returned.
Families whose nominations are accepted will receive confirmation by email.
Speakers
Randy Sims, executive director of Worldview Academy, has trained Christian students and adults in camps and ministries for almost 30 years. He has served as a leadership staff member with Kanakuk Kamps, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and T Bar M Sports Camp. As executive director of Worldview Academy, Randy is responsible for the leadership training of 5,000 students and adults each year. He is the author of The Greatest Among You, a student’s guide to servant leadership. Randy’s work has afforded him the opportunity to lead chapel services for both college and professional sports teams, and to participate with the Billy Graham Crusade as a platform speaker. Randy lives with his wife, Amy, and their four children in Texas.

Zan Tyler and husband, Joe, homeschooled their three children from kindergarten through high school, for a total of 21 years. When Zan began homeschooling in 1984, she was threatened with jail by the South Carolina State Superintendent of Education. Zan founded the South Carolina Association of Independent Home Schools in 1990 and served as its president for 10 years. In 1987, she was honored as the South Carolina Homemaker of the Year. The governor of South Carolina awarded Zan the Order of the Palmetto in 1998, the highest honor a civilian can receive. Zan formerly served as the National Grassroots Director for ParentalRights.org. Zan is the president of Apologia Press and Apologia Educational Ministries.

Vicki Bentley, the mother of eight daughters, foster mom of over fifty since 1985, and grandma to fifteen wonderful grandbabies (so far) has homeschooled 17 children over the last 20+ years, alongside her husband Jim. She served for fourteen years as leader of her local support group of over 250 families, and has written Home Education 101: A Mentoring Program for New Homeschoolers, as well as other materials to help families. She has served on the executive board of the Home Educators Association of Virginia and has addressed state and national conventions, university teacher organizations, and many mothers’ groups; she currently serves as HSLDA’s Early Years consultant and Group Services director. Vicki has a heart for moms, with strong practical wisdom and encouraging words
